An excursion to our very own Alpine hut will project you deep into the heart of the idyllic Dolomites – a captivating experience for couples and families alike. Starting from the Zanseralm hut, you can get there in just 45 minutes. Surrounded by a jaw-dropping panorama, our Kaserill Alm is the kind of place that makes you feel good and free to be yourself. What else it holds in store for you… we’ll let you discover when you get there!
Get on your electric or mountain bike and discover the Villnöss Valley setting off directly from Unterkantiolerhof. Breathe in the freedom of giving your car a break for a few days! A few of our favourite tours: the quaint Alpine loop to the Zanseralm, Gampenalm and Schlüteralm huts, as well to our own Alpine hut, where you can taste homemade cheese dumplings before heading back downhill with refreshed muscles and a happy smile.
The Schlüterhütte is a mountain hut at an altitude of 2,306 metres, from where you can take in a wonderful view of the picturesque Villnöss valley and the Ladin-speaking valleys of the Dolomites. The starting point of this excursion is by the Zanseralm hut. From there, take trail No. 6 up to Kreuzjoch and continue along the Dolomite High MountainTrail No. 3 to the Bronsoijoch saddle and on to the Schlüterhütte hut. From there, you can make your way back to the Zanseralm hut via our Kaserillalm hut along trail No. 32.
Up for a thrill? This challenging high-altitude trail will lead you along the ridge of the Aferer Geisler group to the Würzjoch saddle and Gampen Alm pasture, rewarding your efforts with breathtaking views. If you are an experienced mountaineer, this via ferrata named after mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner’s brother and rope partner is something you don’t want to miss. 14 kilometres long, it starts by the Zanseralm hut and takes about 7.5 hours to complete.
Fancy a refreshing dip? The outdoor pools in Klausen and Feldthurns are a great way to cool off and let the children have a splash of fun whizzing down the slides. And if you get peckish after a few lengths, there’s a bar where you can get some snacks and beverages. Both pools are within easy reach of Unterkantiolerhof – the perfect idea for a family activity on hot summer days!
