Nature, culture and adventure in Villnöss
Puez-Geisler Nature Park Visitor Centre
The Puez-Geisler Nature Park Visitor Centre, in the heart of St. Magdalena, offers you the chance to not just see nature, but rather experience it with all your senses.
This interactive experience includes features such as a huge aerial photo that you can walk on so as to explore the park from a bird’s eye view, the mysterious Nature’s cabinet of wonders and the fascinating ‘Dolomites, hands-on’ exhibition.
But we don’t want to give too much away… it’s far better to see it all first-hand! Admission to the visitor centre is free, so seize this opportunity to discover the beauty and secrets of the nature park – it will be an unforgettable experience!
Mineralogy Museum in Teis
A real treat for young explorers and budding scientists: the Mineralogy Museum in Teis is a sparkling gem in its own right, with a nice collection of Teis geodes and Alpine minerals from far and near.
If you are curious, you can also participate in a search for geodes with mountain guide and expert rockhound Paul Fischnaller… so exciting!
For 30 years, Paul Fischnaller has been collecting crystals from the Villnöss mountains, the most famous of which are the Teiser Kugeln, unassuming round rocks with sparkling secrets inside.
High ropes course
Are you a “the higher the better” type of adventurer? Then we know the perfect attraction for you: the Villnöss high ropes course in the wood at the foot of the Geisler mountain, a short walk from the Ranui car park.
Climb your way up like a squirrel, whizz through the air like a falcon on the zip line and test your skills on 12 courses of varying difficulty. With around 120 stations and 10 zip lines, fun and thrills are guaranteed for young and old.
